Program design and strategy

LEMO Foundation

A program architecture and a multi-year plan a board can fund.

The situation

A foundation with real commitment to young people had more program ideas than structure, and each year started over.

What we found

The intent was clear. The architecture underneath it, who gets served at what depth and how it is staffed, was still implicit.

What we built

01Program architecture: tiers, dosage, and the path a young person travels
02A multi-year plan with the decisions named in advance
03The funding logic connecting the plan to the ask

How it runs now

Program decisions get made against the architecture instead of against the calendar.

The result

A plan the board can fund in multi-year terms, and a shared vocabulary for what the foundation builds.
