How we're organized

One consulting practice. Separate products.

Sobo Consulting is the consulting practice. The software products we've built are separate companies. Here's what that means if you work with us.

Remi and Kendra Sobomehin

Founders and owners

The consulting practice

Sobo Consulting

Strategy, executive and leadership coaching, program design, systems and operations, custom build work, and training. This is the company you hire.

Paid through consulting fees, retainers, and training or speaking fees. Contracts are with Sobo Consulting Group LLC.

Managed by Sobo Consulting

Separate software company

BloomOS

The operating system for small nonprofit teams: the week, donors, grants, programs, finances, board work, and reporting.

Its own company, its own terms, and its own subscription. bloomos.org

Separate software company

Trellis

Family operating software, including Roots and Wings for homeschooling families.

Its own company, its own terms, and its own subscription. trellis.family

What this means for you.

01

Your engagement is with Sobo Consulting.

When you hire us for strategy, coaching, program design, systems work, or a custom build, your agreement is with Sobo Consulting Group LLC. That agreement covers that work and nothing else.

02

You never have to use our products.

Working with us doesn't require BloomOS, Trellis, or anything else we've built. When software is part of the answer, we recommend what fits, and that's often a tool someone else makes.

03

Our products have their own agreements.

If you choose BloomOS or Trellis, you sign up with that company directly, under its own terms, pricing, and support. Ending one relationship doesn't change the other.

04

We'll tell you when it's ours.

If a recommendation involves something we own, we say so before you decide. The same goes for Ambition Angels, the nonprofit Remi leads: it's a separate organization, and we label it wherever it appears in our work.
